AOL Reverses Position on 401(k) Contributions

It appears that AOL has bowed to pressure. A few days ago, AOL announced that they would be changing their 401(k) corporate match from a regular match when employees made their contributions (each pay period) to once annually. The one-time annual contribution would have AOLmeant that employees who elected to leave the company during the year would not receive a match.

Due to staff complaints about recent comments by CEO Tim Armstrong about this change have led AOL to reverse policy and again match employees’ 401(k) contributions each pay period, rather than once a year.
