First the good news, more people today feel more leery about public Wi-Fi than they do about public toilets. Now the bad news, an overwhelming majority of adults — roughly three quarters of those polled — admit to using public Wi-Fi.
Roughly 70 percent of attendees at both the Republican and Democratic conventions used the available public Wi-Fi.
Using free public Wi-Fi networks comes with any number of serious security risks … a few moments of online convenience are far outweighed by your money or financial information being stolen.
