I get it though, owning is not always the right answer for everybody. Because the math can essentially be a wash depending on the assumptions you make and the returns you get, so sometimes the persons personality or circumstance is the deciding factor. You may want to buy a house so your family can have a stable place to grow up with a nice yard. You may want to rent because you like the fact that someone else is going to do all the maintenance and you are free to pack up and move if you don’t like the location.
